Hello, My name is Donald G. Free's, Jr. The year 2001 was my first experience bull riding. It has been quite the year to remember. I have learned that the people involved in rodeo are like one big happy family.
If it wasn't for Ty Murray, I wouldn't even tried bull riding. He has been an inspiration for me, and at my age (45 yrs old), I shouldn't even be doing this, but I am in great shape and am filling a life-long dream. I am going to ride bulls until I can't get on!
This year I attended Cory Check's bull riding school and joined the Wisconsin Rodeo Cowboy's Association (WRCA). I competed this year at local rodeos and have had my share of bumps and bruises.
I would like to thank my bull riding buddies (Nick Viney and Duane Dutter) for all the help and encouragement they have given me this year. Next year I hope they don't mind taking 2nd and 3rd - ha ha!
I would like to also thank Eldon and Gene Baldwin for having a place for us to practice riding bulls every Thursday night during the rodeo season to make all of us bull riders better with their knowledge of bull riding.
I would like to thank my sponsor, Pro Rodeo Home Pages for their support throughout the year and the beautiful shirts they supply us.
If you ever see Nick, Duane or I at 2002 rodeos, make sure you stop and say "Hello"!
With God in my heart and soul, and my buddies on the chutes, I believe I can win!
Bull Riding Buddies Forever!
